CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Thursday held a meeting with collectors of five delta districts and officials of the Co-operative and Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department from his camp office in Chennai.
During the meeting, he issued instruction to the officials to effectively ensure that necessary adequate facilities are provided for the procurement of paddy and its storage in warehouses.
Meanwhile in a post on X, the Chief Minister said, “This year, we have created a record in paddy production, and I have instructed everyone to ensure that necessary facilities are provided at the paddy procurement and storage warehouses.”
“I have also instructed that the paddy grains, the result of farmers’ hard work, are protected until they reach the mill,” Stalin added.
Ministers M.R.K. Panneerselvam, R. Sakkarapani, and T.R.B. Rajaa were present in the meeting.
