SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh government will organise the unveiling ceremony of the statue of former chief minister, late Virbhadra Singh, at the historic Ridge in Shimla on Oct 13.
Chairing a review meeting in Shimla on Wednesday, Chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the All India Congress (AICC) in-charge for Himachal Pradesh and Rajya Sabha MP Rajni Patil, along with senior Congress leaders, would attend the event.
Sukhu directed the officers to make all necessary arrangements to ensure the successful organisation of the programme and to put in place the necessary security measures. Sukhu also instructed that all preparations must be completed within the stipulated time frame.
PWD minister and former chief minister Virbhadra Singh’s son, Vikramaditya Singh, Shimla MLA Harish Janartha, chief minister’s principal advisor (media) Naresh Chauhan, HIMUDA vice chairman Yashwant Chhajta, Shimla deputy commissioner Anupam Kashyap, and other officials were present during the meeting.
